Pressed Flower Bookmarks (Beginner-Friendly)

What You’ll Need:

• Fresh flowers or petals (small, flat ones work best – like pansies, daisies, or ferns)

• Parchment or wax paper

• Heavy books (or a flower press if you have one)

• Cardstock or thick paper for the bookmark base

• Glue stick or craft glue

• Scissors

• Optional: Hole punch & ribbon

Step-by-Step:

1. Pick Your Flowers:
   Choose fresh, small flowers or petals that aren't too thick. Pat them dry to remove moisture.

2. Press the Flowers:
   Lay flowers between two sheets of parchment paper. Place them inside a heavy book or flower press. Add more books on top for extra weight. Leave for 7–10 days until fully dried and flattened.

3. Prepare the Bookmark Base:
   Cut cardstock into rectangles (about 2”x6”). Choose a color that contrasts nicely with your flowers.

4. Design Your Bookmark:
   Arrange your pressed flowers on the cardstock to find the layout you like. Once you're happy with the design, glue them down gently.

5. Finish (Optional):
   Laminate for durability, or punch a hole at the top and thread a ribbon through.
