Pressed Flower Bookmarks (Beginner-Friendly)
What You’ll Need:
Fresh flowers or petals (small, flat ones work best – like pansies, daisies, or ferns)
Parchment or wax paper
Heavy books (or a flower press if you have one)
Cardstock or thick paper for the bookmark base
Glue stick or craft glue
Scissors
Optional: Hole punch & ribbon
Step-by-Step:
Pick Your Flowers:
Choose fresh, small flowers or petals that aren't too thick. Pat them dry to remove moisture.Press the Flowers:
Lay flowers between two sheets of parchment paper. Place them inside a heavy book or flower press. Add more books on top for extra weight. Leave for 7–10 days until fully dried and flattened.Prepare the Bookmark Base:
Cut cardstock into rectangles (about 2”x6”). Choose a color that contrasts nicely with your flowers.Design Your Bookmark:
Arrange your pressed flowers on the cardstock to find the layout you like. Once you're happy with the design, glue them down gently.Finish (Optional):
Laminate for durability, or punch a hole at the top and thread a ribbon through.
